The State Director, National Orientation Agency, Akwa Ibom Directorate, Mr. Mkpoutom Mkpoutom , has sensitized residents of Akwa Ibom State on the dangers of Mpox and the need to take preventive measures to protect themselves and their families.
Mr. Mkpoutom gave the sensitization during a live radio programme in Uyo, where he explained that Mpox is a contagious disease that requires public awareness and responsible health practices to prevent its spread.

The State Director also encouraged anyone experiencing unusual rashes, fever or other suspected symptoms to seek medical attention promptly and follow the advice of health professionals rather than relying on rumours or unverified information.
